2013 my Mom passes away.

2014 my Dad passes away. Three weeks later my younger brother passes away. WOW! Okay… let’s take a look at life. Re-evaluate how we maybe able to improve our personal choices.

So we do. Dennis, my husband and I continue on lifes journey to make improvements to our choices. Whether it’s reduce stress, eat healthier, drink more water…

2016 life is going great. Then out of no where I’m diagnosed is uterine cancer. 2017 out of no where my husband is diagnosed with an aggressive lymphoma.

Do you know what I mean? Many times our choices dictate a path that makes our lives more difficult. Othertimes, its the cards you’re dealt. Sometime Life gets tough, doesn’t it? So, what should someone do when life continues to kick them? What would you do? Or what have you done?

Dennis and I definitely pray and stay close to God. Then we examine our life choices and determine any areas that we can improve. And, we always try to have an attitude of gratitude.

When life gets difficult, reach out to family and friends who are poisitive and supportive. Don’t try to get through it by yourself.

Practice positive self talk. Researchers estimate that we think about 50,000 thoughts a day and that about 80% of those thoughts are negative. When you are having struggles in life be very intentional with your thoughts. Practice positive self. Listen to positive podcasts. Read positive quotes but do not allow your mind to stay negative.
