A meal plan is a healthy eating guide to help you understand best choices for yourself.

Heidi Fleming

First, think about your goals

Why are you looking for Meal Plans?

  • Lose Weight
  • Gain Weight
  • General Wellness

Then decide what foods you like to eat. These may be different from what food you want to eat.

A food choices list will help you understand the difference between a carbohydrate, protein or fat. These are also called macronutrients.

Micronutrients are the ‘small’ nutrients like vitamins and minerals .

Second, think about your commitment

What I mean by this is how bad do you REALLY want to reach your goal?

Give yourself a percentage such as, I am 80% committed to reaching my goal.

Honestly, if you are not at least 80% committed, you may not be ready to change. Does that mean you should do nothing? No. Continue to make small changes over time and when you reach a disgust level and you say I AM 80% READY TO COMMIT. Then you are more likely to reach your goal.

You may find that starting with a Meal Plan Guide is a good start.

It is not as accurate as a Meal Plan but is a good way to begin. Once you are comfortable with the the Meal Plan Guide consider using a Meal Plan which is a bit more precise in your choices.

Third, think about maintenance

Once you set your goal and you are ready to invest in yourself and really commit. Think about what you are going to do when you reach your goal.

Yes, celebrate! But, I’m referring to long term. I can’t tell you how many people I’ve helped who have lost weight just to let themselves go and overtime they gain the weight back.

Reaching your goal is great. Now, I want you to think about maintaining. How do you do this? Continue doing what got you to your goal.

When you decide to choose a program to help you reach your goal, think about if you would be able to do this for the rest of your life.

This is a life journey. Everyday our choices will bring us closer to or further from our goal.

Fourth, think about an accountability partner

Research has proven that we make better food and drink choices when we have energy and community. Think about that. Do you know that when you are in a group you tend to have better results?

It’s true.

How would you like to begin your journey?

If you would like an opportunity to join a group that offers a meal plan, workouts, quarterly book club, recipes and encouragement you’re in the right place.

Oh, wait? Are you wondering if I made a typo when I wrote ‘book club’? No, I didn’t. You see, your mindset is a BIG part of your success. So within your community we will also be talking about how we can improve our mindset.

EXCITED? Me too!
