Lean body composition, accelerate fat loss, improve muscle tone, or improve body composition are common goals. Basically, people want to learn how to lose weight and maintain their weight loss while enjoying social eating and drinking.
Lean Body Sculpting:
A method to decrease body fat and increase body muscle.
Body composition is the ratio of muscle to fat in the body and can be used as a measure of health. Increase fat loss while increasing muscle gain.
Because muscle is denser than fat, one pound of muscle takes up much less space than one pound of fat.
This is why people of the same weight and height can have different body shapes.
I’ve been helping others understand weight loss for over 10 years.
Some people are ready to change and they achieve their goals and they continue to maintain. However, that is not everyone’s story. And that’s okay.
If you feel defeated or frustrated, I am encouraging you; Just don’t give up on your dreams and don’t give up on yourself.
Even if, you go on the weight loss journey and fall off, over time you are gaining knowledge of what works best for you and your body. Just don’t let the ‘falling off’ part keep you from jumping back in. Find an accountability partner to help you stop the Yo-Yo. Because YOU can do this!

A very common theme that I hear is, “I know what to do, I just don’t do it”.
Well, let’s start there.
Why don’t you do it, if you know what to do?
Generally, this is where the excuses begin.
Excuses… you’ve heard them, you may have even said them.
Here is where you will want to change your actions if you are making excuses. Take responsibility, admit there are areas of your life that you want to change and DO NOT take the path of least resistance.
Change is not easy. If it was easy I would not hear “But, I know what to do…” then year after year I watch as commitments turn into more excuses.
How serious are you? This is your life, your body, your choice. Will you allow another year to pass without drawing the line in the sand?
As your Coach, I am here to encourage you when it gets tough. And it will get tough. Change always does.
“I know what to do,” this can get very confusing because there are so many opinions and trends.
Do you REALLY know what to do?
First: Check your mindset. Commit to changing. Understand the process will take time. It may even take years. Be okay with that. Look at your future self and imagine that each year you get better and better. Because you can.
Yes, you.
Second: Look at your choices. If you want to lose weight or want a lean body are you eating three meals each day? Do you eat healthy snacks?
Eating about every three hours will help your sugar level remain fairly consistent and this will help with cravings. Each time you eat, include a protein. You can view what proteins are here. Don’t be afraid of carbohydrates. Fruits and vegetables are carbs. They have healthy nutrients and fiber. Complex carbs include foods like brown rice, oatmeal, or brown pasta.
Breakfast is important. Don’t skip it.
So, no meal skipping and make sure you have protein with breakfast. If you are not hungry or if your mornings are rushed consider having a shake. This will give you a healthy start to your day.
Third: Drink water. Our body loves water. When we become dehydrated our energy levels drop. With low energy, our choices get worst. So, keeping your energy good will help you make better food and drink choices throughout the day. Another reason to eat about every 3 hours, this too, will help our energy.
Fourth: Supplements. I hear this a lot too… “I don’t need supplements, I get everything I need from food.”
Even the food industry adds supplements to food. There is a reason they do that, it’s because it is very difficult to get all of our nutrients from food.
If you are skipping meals or omitting food groups there is a very good chance you are not getting all of the nutrients that your body wants.
Whether you are overweight or underweight if you are doing everything very well with your food and drink choices but you still feel a lack of energy, not achieving your ideal body composition, or having issues with sleep you may want to consider adding high-quality supplements to help you fill in any missing nutrients.
I am a big believer in quality supplements. My husband and I have used supplements for over 30 years.
I see a difference for myself as well as in my clients who use them and those that do not. The difference that I have experienced is faster results and longer maintenance with supplements.

This is your subconscious mind… you just do it.
Habits for your subconscious mind are created by you, by your choices.
If you drink alcohol every night, you are creating a habit to drink every day.
If you eat breakfast every morning, you are creating a habit to eat breakfast every day.
Or, when you practice positive affirmations daily, you create the habit to overcome self-sabotaging and negative thoughts.
As you work toward your lean body fat loss goals, in addition to food and movement also focus on your behavior management. Change how you look at a challenge.
